Kigali Entry Requirements

Kigali Entry Requirements

Visa, immigration, and customs information

Important Notice Entry requirements can change at any time. Always verify current requirements with official government sources before traveling.
Kigali greets you at Kigali International Airport, a tidy single-terminal building where the smell of just-brewed coffee drifts from tiny kiosks beside the baggage belts. Officers in sharp navy uniforms stamp passports with a rhythmic thud, moving the line along fast. Inside, the air-conditioning knocks back the equatorial heat; outside, muffled traffic and the odd bird call remind you that East Africa starts at the curb.

Two conveyor belts serve international arrivals - screens display flight numbers while announcements echo in English, French, and Kinyarwanda

Have accommodation address written down as immigration officers may verify details

Customs & Duty-Free

Rwanda Customs keeps the line clear: red for goods to declare, green for nothing to report, both watched by officers in khaki. Know the limits and you'll walk through without a hitch.
